The Fee is $90 (site visit + report) for indoor air and surface hazards and a small fee for each analysis. We take samples and/or measurements (two visits required for radon tests). There is also a small fee for each hazard test (see below). Your report will contain all the results, followed by a discussion of the significance of each result, and where necessary, recommendations on how to reduce the hazards that exceed Maximum Contamination Levels (MCLs).
To get started, read the following information about EXPOSURE CHARACTERISTICS AND SOURCES OF HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS by clicking on the red box below. We are to happy to assist you if there are questions or concerns, and if warranted, to arrange hazard testing. Feel free to use the CONTACT US button on the top of this page to reach us by phone or email.

$10 for each SURFACE HAZARD: Lead in Paint, Radon, Illicit Drug Residues
FEE FOR HAZARD TEST REQUIRING LAB ANALYSIS

Mold Spores in Air, Mold on Surfaces, Asbestos in Floor Tiles, Asbestos in Insulation, Asbestos in Air, Hazards in Drinking Water (E.coli Bacteria, Total Coliform Bacteria, Color Evaluation, Turbidity, Alkalinity, Acidity, Corrosivity, Hardness, Arsenic, Lead, Copper, Sodium, Iron, Manganese, Nitrite, Nitrate)
$90 for soil tests (fuels, pesticides and metals)
Home heating oil is often stored in metal underground tanks, located adjacent to homes. Gasoline is usually stored in above-ground metal tanks, not close to homes. Over time, spilled fuel occasionally accumulates in the soil, and metal tanks develop leaks. These liquid fuels are slowly washed down, and then often move horizontally, floating on top of water-wet soil. These fuels can enter through basement walls and floors. Inhaled vapors from these fuels can cause breathing health problems. Excessive metal contamination can also be in soils, sometimes from metal-rich solutions used to make insecticides (farming), and sometimes from metal-rich solutions escaping from storage areas. Metal contamination can enter wells and drinking contaminated water can cause digestive health problems.
IMPORTANT: Use the email us at the bottom of this page to request a free explanation of the health problems caused by these hazards, and the common indoor hazard sources.
